As per the Fedora 18 schedule [1], Fedora 18 Alpha Test Compose 4 (TC4) is now available for testing. Content information, including changes, can be found at https://fedorahosted.org/rel-eng/ticket/5284#comment:9 . Please see the following pages for download links (including delta ISOs) and testing instructions. Normally dl.fedoraproject.org should provide the fastest download, but download-ib01.fedoraproject.org is available as a mirror (with an approximately 1 hour lag) in case of trouble. To use it, just replace "dl" with "download-ib01" in the download URL.

Ideally, all Alpha priority test cases for Installation [2], Base [3], and Desktop [4] should pass in order to meet the Alpha Release Criteria [5]. Help is available on #fedora-qa on irc.freenode.net [6], or on the test list [7].

Hello, Andre!
Do you think it's a good idea to add also a link to our new blocker bugs page [1] to the announcement, or is there way too many links already?

How about adding the following? (Changed for each milestone, of course.)
Fedora 18 Alpha Blockers http://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/18/alpha

Fedora 18 Alpha Blockers http://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/18/alpha
If we include this, I think we can remove links to Blocker and NTH tracker bugs in Bugzilla (you can always find that by opening any bug listed there and traverse through the Blocks: field).
Also please note that http://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/current always points to the currently active milestone. The drawback is that there is no clear way how to switch milestones. There are some improvements from Tim Flink on their way that should solve this. Currently I would either use /current or just the top-level link.

Can the Blocker and NTH bug links be posted on the corresponding blockerbugs page? Having to open an arbitrary bug and traverse through the Blocks: field seems unnatural, plus it's possible that there may not be any bugs to traverse (for example when the Blocker and NTH bugs are first created).

I believe Tim can put that into the next release of blockerbugs app. CCed.
TC4 x86_64 has the same problem as the last 2 DVD downloads. It stalls at "Installing Filesystem (4/1031)". As before, top(1) shows anaconda hogging the CPU.
This is on an AMD 6000 with ECS motherboard with 2GB RAM.

As Kamil linked, this is a known issue. It's obviously a showstopper for DVD testing. However, TC4 should be better for netinst in a number of ways, so please don't let this bug discourage anyone from general TC4 testing outside of the DVD tests: we should still be able to confirm several other blocker fixes and fill out more of the matrix. Jesse is working on fixing the DVD install issue at present.
Thanks all!
