I was able to reproduce this issue using Flashblock 1.2.9. However, please note that 1.3.2 is the latest version of Flashblock, and works fine with the 1.0.6 RPMs as far as I can tell with my testing. I would advise updating to Flashblock 1.3.2.
Thanks for your feedback with the RPM! It's very much appreciated.

re: poweredge 2400 smp kernel process hangs
by Anne & Lynn Wheeler
I guess i spoke too soon; kernel-smp-2.6.12-1.1435_FC5
finally had a hang after 24hrs ... and finally had to reboot to the
non-smp kernel. it feels like it is network related ... but it might be
scsi ... it is usually firefox, mozilla, or thunderbird that starts of
hanging ... and finally have to reboot to clear (I suppose the
application could be hanging on some log to scsi drive ... but it feels
like network related).
poweredge 2400, dual 1ghz processor, 1gbyte memory, six scsi drives,
raid controller.
problem appeared with all 13xx smp kernels ... i could reboot back to
1276 smp kernel with no problems or to any non-smp kernel with no
problems. 13xx smp kernels would frequently hang before getting thru
login initialization (I upgraded to FC4 final and the accumulated
changes no longer allowed 1276 smp kernel to boot).
14xx smp kernels now tend to run for some time before a process hang occurs.

dual processor poweredge 2400 process hangs
by Anne & Lynn Wheeler
i've had process hangs on dual 1gz processor poweredge 2400 (1 gbyte
memory) with all the smp 13xx kernels and up thru the 14xx kernels.
when processes start hanging ... it requires reboot to clear the problem.
14xx smp kernels appeared to get somewhat better ... taking tens of
minutes sometimes before hangs appeared (purely subjective ... no real
rigurous testing methodology).
booting non-smp kernels didn't exhibit the problems
so far kernel-smp-2.6.12-1.1435_FC5 has been running for 24 hrs w/o
hangs appearing.

Firefox - Software Updates disabled?
by Dawid Zamirski
Hello
Since FC4 there is no "Software Update" section in Firefox. I understand
that the browser should rather be updated through rpm packages provided
by the Fedora Team. However, extension updates are also disabled what
causes the installed extensions to get outdated after certain period of
time and I have to seek for updates manually on the mozilla's extension
site. Is it possible to enable Software Update mechanism only for
extensions and themes?

This works in all my tests. The reiserfs.ko module is apparently in the
initrd.
Also if the original bug concerned a lack of reiserfs.ko in the initrd then
re-running GRUB would not fix things.
I can't reproduce the bug, it just works for me.
