Has anyone not had this with this kernel (surely it's not very dependent

Fedora Test Day - Thursday, August 14, 2008 - Encrypted installs and Plymouth
by James Laska
Greetings,
Wanted to invite folks to join #fedora-qa this Thursday, August 14, 2008 for a Fedora Test Day. The topic for this test day is Encrypted installs and Plymouth. Perhaps slightly aggressive, but each are closely related so it made sense to combine the events.
There will be a cast of testers and developers on hand between 8am - 5pm EDT (12:00 - 21:00 UTC) to help guide testing, answer questions, triage and troubleshoot issues.
Want to get involved? You don't have to be an experienced developer or tester to join the fun. There are plenty of activities that need your help, all leveraging different skill sets.
For example ...
* Triage existing issues
* Validate fixes
* Exploratory testing
* Test execution
* Documentation
For more details, please stay tuned to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Test_Days/2008-08-14.
Hope to see you in #fedora-qa this Thursday!
Thanks,
James

[Fwd: Re: Will Fedora 10 Contain KDE 3.5.10 or Not?]
by Paul W. Frields
An example of information that would be good to have in the instruction
pages for community testers.

F10A QA/TestCases/PartitioningUninitializedDisks
by Jerry Williams
QA/TestCases/PartitioningUninitializedDisks
Looks good other than:
/root/install.log:
warning: texlive-texmf-errata-2007-4.fc9: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY,
key ID 4f2a6fd2
/sbin/ldconfig: /lib/ld-linux.so.2 is not a symbolic link
usermod: no changes
service bluetooth does not support chkconfig
File '/usr/share/applications/gnome-file-roller.desktop' contains invalid
MIME type ' application/x-gtar' that contains invalid characters
What should I do about this stuff in the install.log file?

Bugzilla searches went down from "so-so" to "unusable"
by Michal Jaegermann
With a "new-and-improved" bugzilla finding an existing bug seems
to border with a miracle. "Quick search" produces something,
mostly irrelevant stuff, without any apparent order.
If you will try "Edit Search" (or to use "Advance Search" - which
goes down to the same) then upon picking up something like
"Fedora" for a "Product:" this page goes catatonic for a long
time and after that I am regalled with an alert which says:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped
responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see
if the script will complete.
If I will try to continue then another alert of that sort will
show up. "Stop" just stops everything and while you can get out
of there you cannot find anything at all.
On one, or maybe two, occasions I managed to find something there
but that appeared to be a fluke and I do not have hours to try
to repeat that feat.
Expect to see lots of bugzilla duplicates.
