I installed F21 from Alpha-TC3 yesterday. The installation went smoothly. However, anaconda tends to flicker a lot. I've now seen this on two machines. There's a bug filed here[1].
Now, I keep the same /home partition between my installs. I created an admin user in anaconda but gnome still asked me to create one. Weirdly enough, this only happened on one machine. On the other one, gnome-initial-setup didn't come up, it just brought up gdm.
The difference was in the user login name, I *think*. For F20, the login for "Ankur Sinha" was "asinha". This time, it appears to have changed to "ankursinha". I had to manually delete stuff and set my permissions etc. Not too big a deal. I'll see if I can reproduce this on a VM and file a bug if I can. While I was fixing this, I ran into another interesting issue - there's no way to differentiate users with the same name in gdm. I've filed a bug for this too[2].
F21 workstation itself is quite stable. I haven't had any crashes. A few nitpicks: - dnf is unable to install groups at the moment[3] - some packages are unsigned so --nogpg is sort of compulsory at the moment. known issue iirc. - shotwell is still unusable for me[4]
