After logging out of KDE or Gnome, the login panel (I use kdm) won't respond to the keyboard. I have to restart the X server via the onscreen menu before being able to log in again.
Anyone know if this is an X issue or should I report it to bugs.kde.org?

Already reported bunches of times. It's on the F9 blocker list[1].
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=443320 Cannot enter keyboard input into kdm after logout.
There's a patch for this that should be ready to test by tomorrow or Saturday.

ps: please, everyone, check the blocker list / CommonBugs page[2] before reporting a bug here.
