Howdy,

I just experienced an unexpected system freeze about an hour or so ago.
/var/log/messages contains oom killer messages. Are "we" still having
oom problems? Is there a docs location that can provide oom killer
information? Is there a system or process dump hiding somewhere on this
system?
journalctl is the best way to find out what's going on, we need to see the
systemd-oomd messages to see if there's a problem in the logic. It could also be
kernel related.
