Is the boot hang problem fixed in the latest rawhide?

It should be.  Which boot disk did you try? (Date and arch.)

I tried the rawhide live cd 20070904 and the boot.iso 09 05 that I 
got from the Fedora ftp site.  Neither worked.

The same Rawhide live CD works on a Thinkpad T41p. Is the problem
hardware-specific?

There were a couple of other guys here last week talking about the 
problem and they have different hardware than me.  My computer is an 
elderly Dell PIII.  The issue may have been the VESA video card but 
I'm not sure.

I haven't been able to boot a disk since F7.

I just tried it, same problem, it stops at "Ready."
