I just tried testing the Fedora SOAS 33 beta and after starting it it goes straight to a login screen when I haven't setup any accounts, the image is supposed to boot into the sugar desktop startup screen, the installation was done in a vm.
Hello there!
How did you install it? SOAS is supposed to run live.

The quick test I did on a live SoAS nightly went to a login screen, there's been no recent changes to the SoAS kickstart or the Sugar UX so there's something that's changed with the boot or lightdm, I don't have time to investigate though.

Hello Peter,
I'm going to check myself since I have some experience with SOAS & Sugar. I never had the system to show me a login screen, it always went straight to the desktop/environment for me.
Kind regards, Silvia FAS: Lailah

That's the bug, basically :)
It's not an uncommon kind of bug. The desktop lives all still *have* their login managers, but are supposed to be configured to not run them interactively but automatically log in as the user "liveuser". If anything about that goes wrong, this is what happens - instead of the autologin happening, you wind up at the interactive login screen.
Depending on how badly things are broken, you may be able to log in manually as "liveuser" (with no password) or not.
Tried logging in with "liveuser" without any password and I get an "Incorrect password, please try again" error.
This bug still on. Here's the ticket: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1895184
