Is java-10-openjdk being prepared?
[for those not aware Oracle has moved Java onto a 6 month release
cycle, and the previous release gets support dropped the moment the
new release is made. Thus Java 10 is now current, and Java 9 is
unsupported (by Oracle). Oracle will be only offering LTS versions
for pay, starting with Java 11].
I asked a couple of days ago on the Fedora-Java list and got the
following reply
-------------
See the presenations:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1557371#c0 ; and feel free
to
contriute to review.
We eill have rolling release of ShortTermSupport releases, and each
LTS will be cared separately.
Next major jdk in Fedora will be 11. When.. no oneknows. When it will
be replaced by 12, or 13 or
14 (if ever) not sure... Deffinetly goig to be rpalced by 15.
So *all* jdks ill reach fedora, but the support timeframe will copy
Oracle.
