Guys, Modules to translate:
- firstboot ---> 2 untranslated, 3 fuzzy - dist ---> 333 untranslated, 363 fuzzy - initscripts --> 1 untranslated, 1 fuzzy - libuser ---> 8 untranslated, 26 fuzzy - printconf --> 6 untranslated, 16 fuzzy - rhn-applet --> 0 untranslated, 1 fuzzy - system-config-date --> 4 untranslated, 0 fuzzy - system-config-lvm --> 166 untranslated, 0 fuzzy - system-config-users --> 9 untranslated, 1 fuzzy - update --> 79 untranslated, 99 fuzzy
Total : 608 untranslated, 510 fuzzy
Can we start getting this down and make it again 100% translated?

up2date is being processed (zero untranslated, some fuzziness). More to come soon in shâ'a Allâh.

Actually, I am still waiting for my redhat account activation. Yesterday, I sent another email to Sarah to enquire about that. It's been two weeks now since my request was filed....
In the meantime, Munzir agreed to commit the changes on my behalf once we reach a valid/stable state.

Thanks Mohammad .. Do you have CVS access? it does not seem you did commit the translation for up2date though. Can you commit what you have so far ?
Thanks

Now you are not waiting on anything, and you should be able to commit :)
Cheers

I've just committed my version of up2date po file.
Your comments are very welcome. Some changes are pending - e.g version/release - until the discussion regarding them reaches a mutual agreement.
Cheers,
Mohammad

Sorry for disappearing for the last period. I hope I will be able to do better now I am less busy. But I see you have done some marvellous job.
If nobody has taken it, I can start system-config-lvm this night. Might take a couple of days.

Welcome back dear karouri, system-config-lvm is alreay taken by Turki (at) zahid. I should take that file until Turki gets his confirmation to avoid any confusion.
Turki did you apply for a cvs account?
I have a more urgent priority for you rather than translation. I sent a mail here before regarding the arabic support on the text installation in Fedora.
<quote> Just we need some one to file the bug in the best way. The issue is already solved in Debian (slang?). The efforts of Debain should be ported upstream and backported here in Fedora and to other distros. If there is a better solution (bicon?) than the one done by Debian, we need to make this clear to them with accurate reasoning.
Karouri, (the maintainer of bicon), will you please tell us about the situation now and how we are going to proceed in addressing the issue to other distros? </quote>

I would say that bicon and the slang solutions are not competitors, as they provide solutions to different problems. At least in its current form, bicon will not totally replace s-lang support of unicode. However, they will both benefit from coordination.
The plan is to get bicon and slang support packaged for FC4. S-lang will get there easily if the work is pushed upstream, bicon needs a bit more work. Interestingly, I can't find any 'upstream' for the newt package which is used by anaconda and uses slang. Anybody aware of where that is?
Regards, Muhammad Alkarouri
Can we get this to Buzilla ? Karuri plz open a bug and let's get this discussion with Red Hat Engineers so we can plan right and not duplicate any efforts. Can you do that? I would say open a bug saying you are maintaing bicon , explain what functionality it will provide, and where to get latest version, ask if this can be included to FC4, or you already did that as I see you said your plan to include this in FC4?
Thanks
Sherif

I would like to mention that Jermy (Anaconda Maintainer) marked Arabic as no Text mood installation due to the issue we are talking about here.
I am not sure if we should address this here or more appropriate on Bugzilla, I tend to suggest to have this discussion with Jermy and other Engineers in Bugzilla so we can fix it right.
Thanks

And there is the anaconda mailing list !! We need to have arabic-fedora.org team in that list too :-) Guys, really I am so happy with what is happening here. FC3 is there, with Arabic support, we have a great team here, and we have made good friends here !! When I remember that some people claimed it won't be done without them, I smile !!! Keep the good work going.
