Hello,
My name is Athos Coimbra Ribeiro. I am a computer science MSc student at Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.
I am a packager and LATAM ambassador @ Fedora.
My interest in this group would be towards getting Fedora Project closer to academic research: we have a lot of students and professors using and collaborating to Fedora Project, it would be nice to identify them and get to know what are their research interests, etc.

Hi Athos! Another familiar name. :) Welcome!
Like I said in Alexandre's email, the Campus Ambassadors program is (unfortunately) a little bit stagnant. There was some planned work to develop the program further over the summer, but they weren't able to happen due to a series of complications.
For now, we're slowly collecting a list of students, faculty, and staff at universities at this wiki page (which you are encouraged to add yourself to!):

I think academic research is one of the best ways to reach out to universities, which would also impact both faculty and students. In terms of faculty, I think there's some other Ambassadors across the world stationed as faculty and staff at universities, so we could also try to incorporate them into any future plans for this program.
Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself here. Hope we can help drive this effort further in coming months. :)
