In the meeting, we agreed on a few things and had ideas for how to move
forward on this one. The
[

announcement] page was forked today.
= Ideas =
* There should only be '''one''' release announcement. The idea
of having
two isn't feasible.
* One way to make this release announcement more unique is by telling the
story from how F24 started. There could be a brief introduction /
"Thoughts from the FPL" to open it. Other engineers, like FESCo, could
maybe add statements about F24 to the announcement.
* For the final announcement, we can omit the "full" technical details and
point to the release notes via the Docs Team for what has changed, what's
new, and anyone who is looking for the raw differences between the
release.
= Proposed actions =
1. mattdm and decause will sync up about ideas and plans for the story of
Fedora 24 and the announcement.
2. The ideas from this meeting will be posted in the ticket (happening
now).
3.

A thread will be posted to the Marketing list about the announcement.]
Honestly having two seems to make sense to me from the development cycle
sense. not everything in beta or alpha was every end-user noticeable.
Nor is it (in my opinion) a good idea to assume or force users to find
another doc (release notes) for a full announce... Worst case leave
the 'full' features and just have an abridged tagline style description
of each.
