Hi all,
Below is a recently published article on the Community Blog about women in computing and Fedora's history and current activities involving outreach.
I think is something that should definitely be shared to all Fedora social media pages. I'm not sure on what the policy on Red Hat social media is, but I could also see this being something great to put out on one of the other Red Hat accounts too.
Feel free to share this around too, I think this is a great summary of the work being done in Fedora to improve diversity and increase outreach. Thanks all!

Hello all,
jflory7 and I have recently published an article about Women in Computing and Fedora on Community Blog. Do take a look at it :
https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/women-in-computing-and-fedora/
It talks about :
*Diversity efforts in Fedora *Anisha Narang's Grace Hopper experience *Women's involvement in Fedora *New opportunities for women like Outreachy *Snippet of an interview with Fedora Diversity Adviser, Maria "tatica" Leandro detailing her inputs on the current diversity situation in Fedora as well as her goals and vision as Diversity Adviser.(A full interview is scheduled for later) *Call for Action - How can you help ?
Looking forward to knowing your inputs,
Bee
Hi! I added myself to the wiki. I'm not sure what use, if any, has this but well... I'm a woman and I'm here! Anyway, I'll share this on my own WordPress and on Facebook. Someone might feel interested.
Cheers, Sylvia

Hi Sylvia ,
We currently do not have any data on women contributors in the whole Fedora Project - and with this list, we primarily aim to create a database of women contributors in Fedora. Once we have even a rough idea of contributors and their contribution areas - we can then work on creating a concrete strategy to increase diversity. I also feel that this list will help bring light to the women contributors and will provide a database for women to connect to and support each other - all the goals of Fedora women.
Thanks for adding your name to the list :)

I have trying to make women collaborating in Fedora to be aware of this list, but it is hard for a male to tell a woman what to do in this regard. I look for women to take lead on this but I was not been successful. I sponsored the local FOSS community in Managua, Nicaragua with a salon, so women can meet no mater which distro or project. They failed to reach critical mass. As I see it, there is no enough women to be able to answer the questions that the same group ask. So after a few meetings they lose interest. Having fail once, does not mean that I will give up. I haven't find other opportunity to help this issue.
