IIRC, that was due to a confusion between UTC and EST. Does the same
apply here - i.e. did the candidate apply prior to midnight local
time?
No, it had to do with weddings and conferences presumably. Or it had
to do with allowing more participation being more important than rules
being rules in the case of this deadline. I did not accept any of the
reasons in that case as valid so I don't really care what the reasons
are this time. Whatever the reasons this time I consider as valid as
the reasons given last time.
I really don't want to rehash the arguments from the FESCo case. I
just want everyone treated the same. And we are talking about an
election to a body on its deathbed.
