Today we are approximately in the middle of Nomination & Campaign period and we accept nominations to "steering bodies" of the following teams: * FESCo (Engineering) (5 seats) [2] * Fedora Council (2 seats) [3] * Mindshare (2 seats) [4] This period is open until 2017-Dec-04 at 23:59:59 UTC. The nominees can already start with preparation of answers for questions in the Election Questionnaire [5]. These answers (aka interview) are going to be published in Community Blog [6] on the first day of the Voting period (2017-Dec-05). F27 Modular Server Go/No-Go Decision (in principle)

The modularity team(s) had a discussion today debating the value of the F27 Modular Server release. Technically, we could meet the release criterion but there are some concerns that this is not sufficient criteria to consider. I (with help from James[1] and Stephen[2]) have outlined the decision and what we have seen/captured as the pros and cons in #149[3]. I am asking mattdm to take this up in the next council meeting as a high priority item (perhaps bumping the CI discussion til next time). Public Money: Public Code

Hello, my name is Natale, and I write you here in order to ask you if Fedora could be formally interested to join and sign the campaign "Public Money Public Code" launched by FSFE [1], which aim is to promote and support by the law the binomial between publicly funded software and Free & Open Source software. [2] Together with other supporting organisations [3], the FSFE is spreading this concept through an open letter [4] to be signed by worldwide citizens, addressed to their respective countries legislators. At the moment, I don't see Fedora in that list [3], while there are also distro like Debian and OpenSuse. Do you think this initiative could be interesting also for Fedora and Fedora People? Operating systems are at the base of software development, joining those folks for this particular aspect looks nice :) What do you think about? It is an outcome of a discussion on Council level [2] trying to improve participation of the Fedora Community in the election process. Today we are starting Nomination & Campaign period when we accept nominations to "steering bodies" of the following teams: * FESCo (Engineering) (5 seats) [3] * Fedora Council (2 seats) [4] * Mindshare (2 seats) [5] This period is open until 2017-Dec-04 at 23:59:59 UTC. The nominees can already start with preparation of answers for questions in the Election Questionnaire [6]. These answers (aka interview) are going to be published in Community Blog [7] on the first day of the Voting period (2017-Dec-05). Please note that the interview is mandatory for all nominees. Nominees not having their interview ready by end of the Nomination & Campaign period will be disqualified from their nominations.
