I've never seen default-java ... isn't that what Debian uses? Just use
/usr/lib/jvm/java.

Ok, I will update my netbeans.config to that path!
I use the following to include debian as well:
netbeans_jdkhome="/usr/lib/jvm/java:/usr/lib/jvm/default-java"
