Goal: Build more up to date ISO of F16 LXDE
This worked perfectly until about 2 weeks ago when an F16 update
broke it.
I have not run into that particular bug myself (haven't built LXDE respin/remix) but
the general attitude of the livecd-creator folks is if you encounter a bug that was caused
by some package update down the line... they want to know if you encounter the bug with
the updates repo turned off using the stock release packages. If not, they don't
really care... because they can't maintain compatibility with all of the updates that
happen after that.
If it is some obvious and easy to fix bug with livecd-creator then they would probably be
interested.
I know this because I reported a bug similiar bug with the KDE build and an KDE update
that breaks livecd-creator... and that's what they told me... disable updates... and
they closed it with WONTFIX as the outcome... if I remember correctly.
I guess I can't really blame them. They already have enough work to do getting Fedora
17 going.
I have switched to building my remix against Fedora 17... which will be out in a month and
a half... or so. Just did the first build yesterday and so far it is working pretty well.
The Fedora 17 Beta should be out next Tuesday (I think) barring another show-stopper
bug.
Maybe you'll have better luck.
TYL,
