I thought this was needed for all the busybox rescue/recovery
applications on the installer. What's happening with this?
It was only ever done on i386 and the main reason was so that things
would fit on a floppy. Since we can't do that anymore even with diet,
we dropped it (maintaining a second libc and keeping things working
against two was a PITA).
