If there's a kernel option for disabling it, you can pass it to the
kernel when booting from isolinux.
But in general, it's not something that we want to be disabling -- it's
far better to get to the root of the problem and fix that instead

I did not know it was possible to pass kernel options to the
Live-CD? AFAIR the CD just boots into Linux without offering
me the option to set parameters.
