Hello!
I do Marketing & PR at The Document Foundation, the non-profit entity behind LibreOffice. And before this, I spent almost 20 years writing for Linux magazines, such as Linux Format and Linux Voice:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_Voice
I'm a huge supporter of FOSS, Linux and digital rights, and I'm lucky that my day job involves helping to spread the word about LibreOffice and grow our community :-)
I'd like to write an article for Fedora Magazine about how Fedora users can get involved with LibreOffice, in a few areas -- development, design, marketing and so forth.
What do you think? Thanks!

Hi Mike, nice to see you here. :-)
The best place to start is the guidelines for writing and submitting a new article for the Fedora Magazine. You can find that here:
https://fedoramagazine.org/writing-an-article-for-the-fedora-magazine/
Particularly, I would recommend writing a pitch and getting that approved first before writing an article. I'm not sure if the Magazine has published something like that before, but it will be easier for the editors to review and give you feedback on a pitch. They can help guide the direction of the article if needed.
More detailed info on pitches here:

Happy writing, looking forward to seeing you around here!

Yes, I've been following that exact guide, and got to step 3 -- introducing myself here :-) But it looks like I have the ability to save a pitch now, so here it is:

Thanks! Mike
The Magazine editors discussed this pitch at the last meeting. We would like to see an article that is more focused on helping users make sue of some cool new LibreOffice features, and then in conclusion points out a few ways people can get involved. While the Magazine supports free software contribution, it's not the focus of the site. We've found that such articles don't tend to attract readers. An article that shows off some an interesting feature or use case, and then includes a shrot pitch for contribution, would be more effective.

OK, thanks for your feedback, and that makes sense. I've updated the pitch accordingly, to focus on new and lesser-known features in LibreOffice that are becoming more prominent, such as the Notebookbar and LibreOffice Online:

What do you think? If it sounds good, I'll go ahead with the content...
Cheers, Mike
