Hi,
Don't know if this is a known issue so here it goes. Burned the F12
Alpha i386 DVD, booted it on an Acer TM6465WLMi with an Ati X1300 and
after the kernel had booted the standard install mode and the one with
the basic video driver would hang at "hardware detection...". The
screen turns light greenish starting in the lower right corner creeping
up to the top left eventually filling the screen.
Known issue or buzilla it?
Bugzilla it, but we need more details.
Is there any workaround so I can still install F12 Alpha and test
it?
I've read something about nightly Rawhide iso's. Should I try one of those?
Try booting to runlevel 3 and disabling kernel
modesetting...'radeon.modeset=0 3' on the kernel command line. Does that
get you up in text mode?
