Are you trying to use the hotkeys for adjusting the volume, brightness
etc..? In Windows, VAIO laptops require some Sony software installed
(somethng like Sony hotkey utils or similar) which install some drivers
that allow these hotkey combinations to work. Correct me if I am wrong
but unless there is a linux equivalent, I doubt you will get this to
... if I may
suggest: there is the "lineak" project (search on google
or sourceforge) which is aimed at providing the enablement of the
"Windows" and multimedia keys under linux.
