How can I reply to a thread in the digest?

I am running Thunderbird 7.01 on 64 bit Fedora 16 RC5.
I tried installing the "undigestfy" plug-in but it complains
the Fedora test list digest is in an improper format.

So how do I reply in thread?

That's a good question Chuck and not sure you can, but maybe others know
how.  But if not, that explains your emails and why not following
threads during a conversation.

Just a suggestion, if your able, you might also think bout just think
about getting *all* the emails instead of digest mode.  Maybe you don't
like getting them all or can't due to network stuff or whatever, but
might make things easier to follow and allow you to get emails faster on
answers you might be waiting on instead of 1 or 2 emails a day.

Just suggestions and sorry to berate you bout emails as never thought
bout digest mode being used haha.

If you set your list options for digest to be MIME rather than plain
text, you will recieve the digest as a series of rfc822 messages
rather than a chunk of text that lacks the headers needed to easily
reply.  Using the MIME style digests, your mail client _should_ make
it much easier to reply to a particular message and not break the
threading.

It is, in fact, in an
improper format. Mailman is violating RFC 1153 
when generating its digests by putting the mailing list footer in the 
digest trailer, which isn't allowed by the RFC.

Having said that, I've fixed Undigestify to work around the RFC 
violation. Please try the new beta version

and let me know how it works for you.

I've switched off digest mode.  Makes it easier to get past
looong posts about dependencies et al.
