This is awesome news! Nice work opening the conversation with your
university. If you haven't already, I would bring this up in an EMEA
meeting or in a ticket to make sure you can help get the support and
guidance of others in your region as well.

As far as logo usage goes, you'll want to take that up with Fedora
Legal. I would drop an email to logo(a)fedoraproject.org and explain what
you're doing, why you're doing it, and what context the logo will be
used around.

Guess that's today! Best of luck with the event, and hope all goes well!
If you need any help or advice at the event, feel free to drop a line in
IRC. If I'm online, I'd be glad to help remotely in any way I can.
Again, nice work in putting this together with your university!

Stack Overflow survey data to analyze
by Matthew Miller
This year's Stack Overflow Developer Survey is out. One thing they ask
about is desktop operating system use, which is interesting in
aggregate, but, also, I noticed that they have a full (anonymized)
dataset available from last year's survey:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzd_CzYvUxE5U1NSWnA2SFVKX00/view
and they plan to do that for 2016 as well eventually.
I think it'd be very interesting to find differences in demographics
(country, age, gender) and experience and employment — and maybe some
of the other questions as well.
Anyone want to take a crack at it?

Hot off the press: 3D Printing SIG
by Justin W. Flory
Hi all,
In IRC earlier tonight, Corey (linuxmodder) pointed out there is a brand
new SIG in the process of being formed now. There is a 3D Printing SIG
that is just being formed, and it seems like an area of fairly high
interest.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/3DPrinting
The founding member of the SIG is Miro Hrončok (churchyard), but John
Harris (JohnMH) is also a member of the SIG (as well as being a member
of CommOps).
Just wanted to leave this on everyone's radar, it's a pretty cool idea
for a SIG! Would make a nice introduction on the Community Blog.

what is 'culture'?
by Viorel Tabara
I've (finally) managed to add my name to the Interests Areas on our CommOps
page and couldn't find a description for 'culture' just as we have for all the
other areas under 'Things we help with'. Searching the wiki for 'culture' does
return the 'Software Patents' as the 2nd result and that hints to the culture
of freedom. Is that it? Personally I'd find useful to having something short,
descriptive, right there on the CommOps page similar to the other areas.

Hey Ardian!
Took me a lot longer to cycle back on this email than I wanted, but this
is a discussion we should definitely have.
What were your ideas and thoughts on putting together something "final"
to represent the Campus Ambassadors? I am definitely a fan of creating
some fliers or other easily distributable info sheet on the program to
help encourage students at universities to get involved.
As far as internal structure / hierarchy goes, what were your thoughts
on my wiki page draft? Were there any details that seemed questionable
to you or maybe could be reworded? I'm still meaning to edit it and make
the revision that event reports can go on the Community Blog *OR*
personal blogs, as a benefit for personal branding for an Ambassador
(this was discussed in a FAmNA meeting two weeks ago).
For anyone who isn't sure where this draft is, see here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Jflory7/Scratchpad/Campus_Ambassadors
Other opinions and thoughts are surely welcome on this! Feel free to
chime in if you have ideas or thoughts.

I introduced myself on IRC almost a week ago at #fedora-commops,
#
fedora-apps and others.
Now i've created an FAS account.
Here is my wiki: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Justharshal
I'm a newbie. Would appreciate any and all feedback.

Fwd: Automate Quarterly Metrics
by Bhagyashree Uday
So, I am forwarding this discussion to CommOps ML.
I was hoping we could discuss further on :
1. Deliverables for the metrics
*analysis + graphs automation
*Are we only looking to replicate past metric questions ?
2. Location for uploading the scripts
I was thinking fedora-stats-tools repo on github :
https://github.com/fedora-infra/fedora-stats-tools
3.Deadline
I am a bit swamped right now but could work on this over the weekend. Would
it be an issue ?
Cheers,
Bee

Talked with Bhagyashree on IRC and we will take this to commops since
I think the people needing the information are all there while they
aren't on infrastructure.
