Greetings.
I have been following the CommOps group rather passively since it's
inception, and have been impressed by what I've witnessed. I have been
trying to determine if my particular "position" within Fedora would a.)
allow me to contribute to CommOps and b.) bring anything relevant to the
project.
In conversation on IRC this evening jflory7 and cprofitt assured me that
my presence was welcome, so I hereby wish to introduce myself as step 2
in joining the CommOps group.
My name is Dan Mossor, and I am an active contributor to the KDE,
Server, and QA teams, and a Fedora Ambassador in San Antonio, Texas. I
am a TA at my University where I assist the professors with their
networking and operating systems classes, and I have just taken a job
teaching Linux+ here in San Antonio.
To be honest, I don't know what else to say here. I'd just be
regurgitating my wiki page if I continued. I would like to join y'all
and do what I can to promote cooperation and cohesiveness throughout the
Fedora Project, to help Fedora remain the premier community supported
open source operating system and the leading distributor of open source
technologies.
Welcome welcome, Dan!
We're glad to have you aboard the team. Things are starting to really
take off and there's a lot of exciting things on the horizon. You've
picked a great time to get involved and it'll be awesome to have someone
with your experience and knowledge of the community aboard.
Looking forward to working with you - we'll catch you in the meeting on
Tuesday for sure. :)
