Hello and welcome to CommOps :)
Hello Alberto! Welcome to the CommOps team. We're glad to have you
joining us here.
Thanks to Sachin for being one step ahead of me this past week on
replying to emails. :)

using Unix/Linux systems and 10 years administering it (mostly Solaris,
Debian, CentOS, Arch Linux and RHEL 5.5,6 and 7),i'm a relatively new on
Fedora (One year), I worked for three years in Support/HelpDesk area of
a large Telephony/Void enterpise, so I am familiar with ticketing
systems like Trac, OTRS and Oracle Siebe.Actually I'm a Master degree
student in optimization (Mathematics oriented) in one of three major
public universities in Mexico.

That's amazing. I am pretty sure that you can be of great help to the
community. Since you have prior experience administering systems, I'd
suggest you also talk with the infra team on #fedora-admin (Freenode)
and see if anything interests you there.
Like Sachin said, it sounds like you're not unfamiliar with many of the
technology we're working with, and there's plenty of ways you could help
contribute to Fedora. The Fedora Infrastructure team may also be
something of your interest too. Here's some more useful links for
checking out the Infrastructure team and how to get involved:

retake
this project again, Certainly a LUG is not a distro centered
organization but i found in fedora a good balance with the (cutting
edge) technologies present in the industry and the tools needed in many
research fields.

Spammers have been hitting really hard. Let's hope for a better fix.
It's really hard to Onboard without wiki edit permissions - especially
when you need to create your User: profile on wiki.
With regards to the wiki deadlock, we're hoping to have a better
solution for that soon. For now, check out some of the things happening
in CommOps and we can get you sponsored into the group in good time. :)
For one, we do have our weekly meeting tomorrow at 17:00 UTC in
#fedora-meeting on IRC, should you be available then.
For the other areas of interest, there's plenty of great resources
available that you can check out. For metrics, we have something called
the fedmsg bus, which emits notifications for all of the different
activity in Fedora. When you look at it all at once, it can be
overwhelming (see #fedora-fedmsg for a live feed of it all at once). But
with tools like Datagrepper, we have more control over what we can see
and manage with the data. Here's some resources you may find useful to
see what exactly we can do with it. This also fits under the
storytelling side too. :)

Hoping to see you around CommOps! Should you have any questions or get
stuck, don't be afraid to ask here on the mailing list or in IRC. We'd
be happy to help.
