I asked in the channel today if we could get a separate
#fedora-commopswatch channel set up to handle all the commopswatch and
commopsbot messages. I feel that there are too many of these messages in
a channel meant for conversation, and it would be better to have them
shunted to a channel specifically for the notifications, a la
#fedora-fedmsg.

A discussion started earlier about some of the notifications, although I
wasn't aware that any had actually been removed. It seems like they're
back on as of this morning, though.
I do think this is maybe a discussion we should have now.
Since we're starting to grow a bit more and people are idling in our
channel, I think it makes sense to maybe cut down on notifications in
#fedora-commops and move the noisiest ones to a new channel. Sometimes
the excessive notifications can make it difficult to parse logs when
reading for new messages or conversations.
Having the notifications in two channels gives a way for people who want
to be notified by what's happening in some hot-button fedmsg alerts to
have those notifications, while it won't clutter up #fedora-commops with
a lot of notifications either.
I think some base requirements for our main channel should be:
1) Any Trac-related activity
2) New mail on our mailing list
3) FAS group activities for CommOps group
Anyone else have some thoughts on this?

I disagree with point #2 - One of the requirements to be an "official"
CommOps representative is that you be sub'd to the email list. We are
receiving the email, we don't need to be notified of it.

Hmm, that's true… maybe this would be better as an ancillary
notification in the additional channel. I personally like this
notification, but if someone is subscribed to the list, it would make
sense for them to just check their email instead.

Once decause gets back, I think this would be a good idea to look into
separating them. I am personally +1 to moving a majority of the
notifications into a new channel, so they will be there for people who
want them, but the main channel will only consist of the crucial
notifications.

useful the most, so I went ahead and removed it (although I didn't have
anyone run the playbook to make the changes live yet). I guess I should
