Packaging of PlayOnLinux
by Jiří Konečný
Hello all,
is there any reason why the PlayOnLinux is not in Fedora repository? I
know that they have database of proprietary stuff but they don't
download that and you can't purchase anything with the PoL.
If there is no reason I will be happy to package this one.
Thank you for the answers,

problem submitting update do Bodhi
by waterlan
Hi,
I have created an update for the package wcd. The update has been
uploaded and built successfully. As a last step I try to submit the
update to bodhi, and here I get a failure:
[waterlan@localhost wcd]$ fedpkg update
/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/fedpkg/cli.py:169: DeprecationWarning:
Commands._hash_file is deprecated and will be removed eventually.
Please use Commands.lookasidecache.hash_file instead.
hash = self.cmd._hash_file('bodhi.template', 'sha1')

I have tried the bodhi website, https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/, but
there I get a similar message "Unable to determine release from build:

How can I fix this?
I'm using Fedora 21 64bit with all updates installed.

quick python packaging question -- /usr/bin/env?
by Matthew Miller
Should python programs which use '#!/usr/bin/env python3' be patched to
call python directly? Is there a use case for packaged programs _not_
using the system python?

Pseudo top level domain in URL tag
by Christopher Meng
Hi,
Is it OK to use pseudo top level name like .i2p (eepsite) in URL or
some other real top level name for packages? I didn't see guideline
covering this.
Thanks.

running openssl dhparam in %post
by Daniel Pocock
For reSIProcate 1.10.0, we will support PFS on TLS connections, this
requires a DH parameters file to be generated on each installation of
the package. There is probably a similar requirement for other packages
that have a TLS server and don't generate DH parameters at compile time.
My current solution involves adding the following to %post
if [ ! -e %{_sysconfdir}/repro/dh2048.pem ] ;
then
/usr/bin/openssl dhparam -outform PEM \
-out %{_sysconfdir}/repro/dh2048.pem 2048
chown root:repro %{_sysconfdir}/repro/dh2048.pem
chmod 0640 %{_sysconfdir}/repro/dh2048.pem
fi
and then adding this to %files
%config(missingok) %ghost %{_sysconfdir}/repro/dh2048.pem
The dh2048.pem file is created correctly during package installation but
it is not removed when the package is removed with "rpm -e"
Is there a better way to do this or does it look OK?

I meant turning it on globally as in "everything built with CMake in Fedora",
like updating the default flags in a RPM macro or updating the default CMake
config in Fedora. Which will change all the packages using CMake once they are
rebuilt.
