The eject problem is fixed in Development (aka rawhide).
Until Test 2 is released there is no method to install onto a Mac Mini
via cdrom, you need to use one of the other options (NFS, HTTP, FTP).

My experiences on mac mini with fc4 t1 workstation install:
I did a http install so I did not run into the eject problem.
first boot will not run due I think to a package dependency error that
should be fixed in the next release.
Firstboot ran for me after I upgraded to the version in development
and rebooted the Mini.
