Good morning/evening all
I would just like to introduce myself. My name is Jørn Lomax, I'm 23 and a second year CS student. I have applied to help with the Fedora audio spin for GSOC. I have a degree in music and I regularly use different studio software to play around with music. I would easily say music is my biggest hobby, with programming coming a very close second. I have made my application over at the offical application site and added myself to this mailing list
As I'm applying *very* late, I haven't really had time to get to know anyone involved with the projects. From what i have seen in the mailing list archives, there has not been much talk of this idea. I would really like to help with this project as I feel that there should be a studio distro/spin that is FOSS and doesn't rely on any libraries that are not compatible with the fedora philosophy. I also feel like I have some ideas that would help it be a spin that is a cut above the other studio centric distros out there.
I hope you will consider this proposal, despite it coming in at the last minute and that I look forward to be able to work with you all :)
regards, Jørn Lomax

Welcome Jørn!
I'm a mentor of the Audio spin. This GSoC project idea also came a little late to the party but it's an obvious hole that needs filling. I'm sure the discussions will soon start heating up once we try and nail things down.
I've only just posted my mentor blog myself, but you'll find some useful links there I hope http://brendanonet.com/gsoc/
I'm making a point of lurking around #fedora-audio, at least close to deadlines like these, if you have any questions.
Look forward to reviewing your application.
