RFC: Multimonitor wallpaper submission and download for Nuancier [GSoC]
by Parth Panchal
Hi,
I'm Parth[1]. Nuancier is a Python Flask voting application for the supplementary wallpapers included in Fedora releases. My project aims to implement mainly two features that let users with multi monitor setup to take advantage of these high resolution wallpapers such that they can set different parts of wallpaper on different monitors ( with any combination of different or same resolution) without breaking its continuity. My design doesn't even requires any manual curation of the wallpapers. Upload feature will also be enhanced to support uploading already split images of a wallpaper.
I've submitted my proposal on google-melange[2] & Fedora wiki[3] and I really look forward to improve my implementation based on your feedback and suggestions in order to get accepted.

GSOC 2015 Proposal to Glitter Gallery Improvements
by Nikunj Gupta
Hello l,
I am Nikunj Gupta from India. I am applying for Glitter Galllery
Improvements project at Fedora Project in this year's GSOC.
GlitterGallery is GitHub for designers - being developed by and for the
Fedora design team, but hoping to be useful to all designers. It's a web
app based on Ruby on Rails that allows designers and artists to create,
share, and collaborate, backed by Git for version control.
Here's the link to my proposal:

Thanks

GSoC 2015 Application for the project "Multimonitor wallpaper submission and download for Nuancier"
by hrudaya sahoo
Hello everyone,
I want to contribute to the above project as part of GSoC 2015. The
following is the abstract of the project:
"In every release of Fedora, a set of supplemental wallpapers that are
submitted by the users are included. To decide which wallpapers should be
included in the release, an “election” is conducted through the web app
“Nuancier” that allows users to vote on their choice of the wallpaper(s).
The aim of this project is to extend Nuancier to provide facilities so that
people who are using a multi monitor setup will be able to submit and
download wallpapers from Nuancier."
The following are the reasons why I want to do this project:
1.
I actually like the idea of the project. Frankly speaking, I have very
limited experience with multi monitor setups. So, getting to know the pros
and cons of a multi monitor setup and writing code for the same will be a
very good experience for me.
2.
Since I am new to the open source community and because I like this
concept, I want to develop my understanding of the open source community
better.
For this, I have created the application on the Fedora Wiki Page. Here's
the link for the same:

Thanking you,

[GSoC 2015] My application to improve Glitter Gallery
by Ahmed Fathy Hussein
Hello,
My name is Ahmed AbouElhamayed. I'm applying this year to work on improving
and extending Glitter Gallery.
If you don't know what that is, Glitter Gallery is a web app that is
similar to Github but made for designers to replace old the way of sharing
and collaborating on designs(mailing lists).
This is a trial to help ease designers work so that they can produce even
cooler designs and everyone would be happy.
I'm proposing to get Glitter Gallery ready for use by implementing new
features and improving existing ones.
You can see my student application here:

Thanks,
Ahmed
