Updates to be installed
by Lawrence E Graves
When can we expected the updates to be signed? Just wondering. Also
when may I expect the mouse problem to be fixed. It seems to have went
away in the discussions. I am still having the problem. The ability to
switch from left to right-handed use is working on every other OS I run
on my desktop but F11. I also can't get sound in my Vmware Workstation.
I hope I am not being pushy, but all of these things worked fine in F10.

tigervnc gnome theme problem
by aaron lwe
Hi,
I've got a problem while using vnc to view a fedora 11 hosted gnome
desktop, the gnome theme isn't what I chose but nodoka. If I open the
appearance dialogbox from system->preference, the gnome theme
instantly changed to what I selected no matter which tab of this
dialogbox activated. And when I close the dialogbox, the theme changed
back to nodoka. If I did this a second time, a crash about
notification-daemon will happen. I've attached the crash report. There
is no problem while loging on locally.
The vnc server runs on fedora 11 with
tigervnc-server-0.0.90-0.7.20090427svn3789.fc11.i586, kernel
2.6.29.3-140.fc11.i586. The vnc client runs on fedora 10 with vnc
vnc-4.1.3-1.fc10.i386.
Anyone has the same problem?

Re: Left-Hand Mouse and VMWare was Re: Updates to be installed
by Christopher Beland
The bug that was most recently filed on the left-handed mouse issue was
this one:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=487849
Since both I and the reporter of that bug can successfully set our mice
to be left-handed, the bug was closed.
Lawrence, I don't see anything in Bugzilla from you on this issue; it
seems as far as the system is concerned, there is no problem. (Mailing
list posts don't guarantee that an issue has actually been brought to
the attention of the appropriate developer.)
Below is the message I previously sent containing the technical
information I would recommend you include in a new report. Since bug
487849 was closed and was probably not hardware-specific, I recommend
filing a new bug by visiting:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi
Good luck,
Beland

Fedora 11 Common Bugs page
by Adam Williamson
As discussed at the meeting on Tuesday, I (with a little help from
stickster!) have revised and updated the Fedora 11 Common Bugs page:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Common_F11_bugs
some notes on this: please, everyone, do add issues with reasonably high
visibility, that you regularly have to explain, to this page: it will
help others find out about these issues, and save you time in the long
run as you can simply link to the page entry instead of re-typing the
explanation over and over again.
some innovations:
I got a new keyword created in Bugzilla, CommonBugs, to track issues
that are or should be listed on these pages (note the difference from
the needsreleasenote? flag, which is for *release notes*, not common
bugs). Please make sure the bug report for any issue you add to the page
has the CommonBugs keyword added - this will make it easy to know when a
bug has an entry on the Common Bugs page, so when the bug is fixed or a
new workaround discovered or something, the Common Bugs page entry can
be updated. If the Whiteboard field for the bug is empty, add the anchor
link to the entry on the Common Bugs page into it.
after release, we should be aiming to update the entries on the page to
reflect the status of updates. So, if an update to fix an issue goes
into updates-testing, add a note on this to the Common Bugs page entry.
If the update goes official, move it to the Resolved Issues section
(which doesn't exist yet, but it will...) and note which update fixes
the issue. I'll add some boilerplate text for these cases to the page
comments once we actually have live examples for these changes.
I've added these instructions to the page source as comments, so you'll
always have a reference there live.
that's it, really - if everyone makes an effort to use this page in
future it should become a really valuable resource. thanks all!
