These are the same thing these days.
Been like that for awhile, AFAIR. My fingers just prefer update. Nun
clothes, I suppose.
FWIW, most .rpmnew issues that really matter should be in release notes.
Some changes are miniscule, created because you altered the default and
the upgrade doesn't want to clobber a %config(noreplace) and others could
break things, like the amanda/xinetd/ipv4 thing from a few months back.
