[Fedora-trans-es] Cornish?
by Jorge Gallegos
Estoy en duda de como traducir el reciente ingreso del lenguaje
"Cornish", lo que según la wikipedia es el lenguaje que se habla en
Cornwall (que si mal no recuerdo se traduce como Cornualles). Cual sería
la traducción correcta? Cornuallés?
Saludos

[Fedora-trans-es] transifex virt-manager.po
by Izaac Zavaleta
Al parecer no aparece el icono para subir el archivo po en el proyecto
virt-manager, tal vez esto indique que no esté recibiendo envíos. ¿Me
pueden indicar si estará disponible pronto ó tengo que iniciar el
proceso de pedir acceso al repositorio directamente?
Tenía la idea que estas cosas ya no serían requeridas con la nueva versión.

by Domingo Becker
Nueva interfase para bajar archivos po y subirlos con las traducciones
hechas, ver mensaje reenviado más adelante.
Ya está al día la colección Fedora 11, nos está faltando la sección varios:
https://translate.fedoraproject.org/tx/languages/es/collection/fedora/var...
Todavía quedan más de 10 días para el lanzamiento, así que hay mucho
tiempo por delante. Habría que trabajar sobre los documentos publican,
que todavía ni siquiera me he puesto a ver.

Indifex and the Transifex Community are proud to announce the newest version
of their flagship translation platform, Transifex 0.5.
Transifex is a web application written in Python using the Django web
framework that gives translators a web interface to various version control
systems. Files to be translated can be downloaded, translated files can be
uploaded directly to the source repository, and various translation statistics
can be read at a glance.
Transifex is already in use by the Fedora Project to translate its interfaces
to an audience of more than 5 million users.
What does it offer?
===================
Transifex currently supports the following Version control systems:
- Concurrent Version System
- Subversion
- Bazaar
- Mercurial
- Git
For statistics generation, Transifex supports static gettext message catalogs
and intltool-based ones, used by the vast majority of open source software
projects.
What's new in 0.5?
==================
A full list of the features offered in this release can be found in the
release notes:
http://docs.transifex.org/releases/0.5.html
This release represents a significant advance in Transifex development since
the Transifex 0.3 release in November 2008. Here’s a 40K-foot view of the
release in numbers and most important feature categories.
243 files changed, 14027 insertions(+), 319 deletions(-)
- Complete re-write of the source code on top of the Django Web framework
- New data model supporting multiple repositories per project (eg. branches
or domains of files), and project collections (eg. Fedora, GNOME, etc.)
- Calculation of a project’s translation coverage (statistics)
- Submission support of files to a variety of version control systems
- Support for serving translation files to users for easy access to them
- User registrations and authentication (including OpenID)
- Simple workflow support
What does it look like?
=======================
The Fedora Project is currently running an instance of Transifex at:
https://translate.fedoraproject.org/tx/
For some eye candy, check out the screenshots on our site, at:
http://transifex.org/screenshots
How can I get it?
=================
Project and community managers who want to deploy Transifex for their
own community can get Transifex in a variety of ways.
A tarball of Transifex 0.5 is available at:
http://transifex.org/files/
For full installation instructions, refer to the documentation section:
http://docs.transifex.org/intro/install.html
RPM packages for Fedora 9, Fedora 10, and Fedora Rawhide are or will
soon be available via yum:
yum install transifex transifex-extras
RPM packages for RHEL 5, CentOS 5, and Scientific Linux 5 will be
available in Fedora EPEL:

[Fedora-trans-es] traducciones en translate.fpo
by Domingo Becker
Argentina).
How to use the Fedora Live image --> Cómo usar la Imágen Viva de Fedora
[1] http://audio-video.gnu.org/video/rms-diputados.ogg
Por favor, no duden en consultar a la lista si tienen alguna duda en
la traducción. Es mejor no traducido que mal traducido.
Saludos

[Fedora-trans-es] Just joined
by Jorge Gallegos
Hi Everybody,
My name is Jorge Gallegos, just completed the steps in the translation
QS guide, below you can find my info:
* Legal Name: Jorge A Gallegos
* Current Location: Aguascalientes, Mexico
* Username: kad, you can check my user wikipage at
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Kad
* Team: Spanish team
* Status: Currently employed as a web developer
* Me and Fedora: You could say I got the taste of a linux distro
thanks to RedHat 7.0 circa 2001. From then on I've tried every major
distro out there mostly to take a look, however I just keep coming back
to fedora as my main platform, and has been like that since fc1
* Other projects: I'm currently taking a look at the packager
requirements, which is something I'd like to work on. Websites sounds
fun too.
* Historical qualifications: I have contributed to some OSS projects
for a while now, as a developer and also translator. I was the lead
spanish translator for the Jaws Project (a CMS-type framework) and
contributed occasionally to other translation efforts. I wrote a couple
of articles for the (then new) fedora news site some years ago.
* Skills: I have worked as a web developer with several languages such
as java and php, sysadmin and mysql dba, occasional python coder... I
have some project management training/experience under my arm too and a
lot of team experience.
* GPG: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xAF056059
and:
$ gpg --fingerprint AF056059
pub 1024D/AF056059 2009-01-12
Key fingerprint = 6274 9521 5B55 57CA 543F 81CF B6C3 33C1 AF05 6059
uid Jorge A Gallegos (kad@torrgg) <kad(a)blegh.net>
sub 2048g/6A77FBA6 2009-01-12
Anyway, I think that should cover most of the stuff in the QS guide.
I'll try to be as helpful as possible, and will try to have fun at the
same time :)
Regards.
