Fedora 14 Beta TC1 Available Now!

Fedora 14 Beta TC1 is now available [1].  Please refer to the following
pages for download links and testing instructions.

Ideally, all Alpha and Beta priority test cases for installation [2] and
desktop [3] should pass in order to meet the Beta Release Criteria [4].

Fedora 14 Beta TC1 Recap

Greetings testers,

Again, thanks to the hard working of developers, release engineers and
testers, F-14-Beta-TC1 was posted and the tests have been executed. Here
I summarize the test results from installation and desktop sides grouped
by release criterion:

* F14Beta:
629719 NEW  - random failures when notifying kernel of changes to
partitioned md (isw) device's partition table
633234 ON_QA  - Previous grub entry is not overwritten after upgrade
with creating new bootloader
632510 ON_QA  - Installer exited abnormally when starting network in
rescue mode
628241 ON_QA  - Fedora 14 Alpha, post reboot installation steps not
working
632489 ON_QA  - Fail to read package metadata after specifying repo=

* F14Beta-accepted:
632805 NEW  - basic video driver fails in bare metal install (goes into
text mode)

* F14Blocker:
621469 ASSIGNED  - Fail to retrieve repo info using 'repo=nfsiso:'

* Warnings:
623956 NEW  - Graphical anaconda failed to display in kvm with
xdriver=vesa
633815 NEW  - Network installation fails when IPv4 DHCP fails/ IPv6
present
585006 NEW  - livecd-creator creates i386 and x86_64 ISOs which are
larger than indicated by the ISO header
633247 NEW  - basic video driver fails in bare metal install (black
screen, machine is unresponsive)
632753 NEW  - Error installing Beta TC1

* F14Blocker:
624136 NEW  - [abrt] evolution-2.31.5-2.fc14: e_import_cancel:
Process /usr/bin/evolution was killed by signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
632719 MODIFIED  - SELinux is preventing init "associate" access on
hugepages.
621413 ON_QA  - [abrt] crash in gnome-panel-2.30.0-4.fc13: raise:
Process /usr/bin/gnome-panel was killed by signal 6 (SIGABRT)

The Beta blocker[1] fixes are supposed to be included in Beta Release
Candidates, so please stay tuned for Beta RCs which will be available
soon.
