CANCELLED: 2012-06-25 Fedora QA Meeting
by Adam Williamson
Don't say I didn't warn you...because I don't have anything for the
agenda, and no-one else suggested anything, no-one gets to have any fun
at the QA meeting tomorrow. It's cancelled. Yeah, you heard me -
cancelled. You'll just have to go and suffer somewhere else, doing
something horrible like this 'recreation' I've heard about somewhere. It
sounds terrible. This is what happens when no-one proposes agenda items!
For the record, the two action items from last week were both for me,
and they were:
* adamw to start a list thread for further discussion of the blocker
review meeting time topic
* adamw to start a list thread about ways to analyze the corpus of
blocker bugs
Obviously, as you can see threads for both those things...I did them.

Fedora Board appointment
by Robyn Bergeron
I am very delighted to announce that John Rose (aka inode0) will be
joining the Fedora Board in the final appointed slot for this cycle
(seat A4). Many of you know John from his work in the Ambassadors team
and his excellent election wrangling for many election cycles, as well
as being a familiar face in FUDCon planning, and his care for
transparency in finances (and transparency in general!). I believe
he'll be a fine addition to the Board, and I look forward to his
contributions and participation.
As John comes on, I'd also like to thank Guillermo Gomez for his work
done over the past year as the Board member who has been in this seat.
You will be missed! :)
A friendly reminder, also, that the Board is always happy to have
community input; please feel welcome to join the Board's mailing list at
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/Advisory-board to ask
questions or participate in discussion.
Welcome, John! :)

Fedora Board runoff election results
by Robyn Bergeron
Hello!
The runoff election for the remaining Fedora Board seat has concluded.
There was one remaining seat available. A total of 182 votes were cast,
meaning a candidate could accumulate up to 364 votes (182 * 2). The
results are shown below.
# votes | name
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
214 | Nick Bebout (FAS: nb, IRC: nb)
188 | Robert 'Bob' Jensen (FAS: bjensen, IRC: EvilBob)
Therefore, Nick Bebout will take the remaining Board seat, replacing Jon
Stanley. (Many thanks to Jon for his dedication and time spent with the
Board!)
And with that - I thank everyone for their participation in this
interesting runoff election. News about the remaining appointed Board
seat will be forthcoming in the next few days.

2012-06-04 @ 15:00 UTC - Fedora QA Meeting
by Adam Williamson
# Fedora Quality Assurance Meeting
# Date: 2012-06-04
# Time: 15:00 UTC
(https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/UTCHowto)
# Location: #fedora-meeting on irc.freenode.net
Greetings testers!
It's meeting time again. Not much on the agenda this week, but we'd like
to cover the 'Fedora 18 planning' topic that was postponed last week due
to the Americans being on holiday. Brian, David - if you could come
along for that section it'd help a lot, as we need to plan newUI
testing.
This is a reminder of the upcoming QA meeting. Please add any topic
suggestions to the meeting wiki page:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Meetings/20120604 (I know I'm still a bit
behind on the wiki pages. Sorry. Let's say, if you want to add a topic,
create the page and put it in, eh?)
The current proposed agenda is included below.
== Proposed Agenda Topics ==
1. Previous meeting follow-up
2. Fedora 18 planning
3. AutoQA update
4. Open floor
