Fedora 13 Alpha Go/No-Go Meeting RESCHEDULED: 2010-02-25 @ 19:00 UTC (14:00 EST)

IMPORTANT NOTE: we are rescheduling the Go/No-Go meeting for Fedora 13
Alpha. Previously scheduled for 2010-02-25 01:00 UTC, it is now
scheduled for 2010-02-25 19:00 UTC (14:00 EST, 11:00 PST). This delay is
to give sufficient time for the QA team to test the expected RC3 build.

Yum Langpack Plugin Test Day Thursday 2010-02-25

Greetings Everyone,
YumLangpackPlugin Test day is coming up:

This event will focus on a yum plugin that allows langpacks to be
automatically installed for your native language when base packages with
langpacks get installed. So testing it with various languages is highly
welcomed to this test day.
In the past, we had to install the langpack of some packages such as kde
openoffice manually, see bug433512[1]. But now such langpack can be
installed automatically if yum-langpacks installed in advance. Good news
is that these cases steps can be easily followed and even execute on a
F12 system. If you are trying to install a F13 system in your local
language, you are already attending this test day! Check the above link
for detailed results.
Please come to this event and learn this useful plugin. I'm sure you'll

Have an issue you'd like to propose as an F13 release blocker? Please
consider the following criteria when escalating an issue:

The aim for the Release Criteria for F13 is for our criteria to match up
with our 'gut feelings', so if you see an issue that you think should be
a blocker but doesn't meet the criteria, please add it as a blocker and
mention at the meeting that the criteria don't cover it. Thanks!
To promote a bug for consideration as a blocker, simply mark it as
blocking the bug 'F13Alpha'. You can also already mark bugs as blocking
the Beta or Final release, if appropriate, by using 'F13Beta' and
'F13Blocker' respectively.

Color Management Test Day Thursday 2010-02-18

It's Test Day time again!
This Thursday, 2010-02-18, will be Color Management Test Day[1]. There's
some exciting new color management features[2] in Fedora 13. That is to
say, there are color management features in Fedora 13! We've never had
any real color management in Fedora before, so this is great news for
photographers and designers in particular - but everybody, really.
The good news is testing for this Test Day is very easy - anyone with a
monitor can do most of the testing. A scanner, printer, webcam or
colorimeter let you do some other tests. You don't need a Rawhide
installation to do the testing, just a nightly live image[3] will do
fine, and the testing process is fully documented and won't take more
than a few minutes. So come out and help us test! Even if you don't use
Fedora, you can test very easily with a live image, and this is one of
those features that's popping up in Fedora first but will soon appear in
all distributions (as it'll be part of GNOME itself), so you'll be
helping your own distribution by testing.
The Test Day will run all day in Freenode IRC #fedora-test-day.
