I'm still getting the same message with kernel-2.6.27.5-94.fc10.i686 .
The full backtrace reads:

Skype under Fedora-10/KDE
by Timothy Murphy
Is anyone successfully running Skype under Fedora-10 with KDE?
When I run it (from f=>Applications=>Internet=>Skype)
and try to make the Skype Test Call
I get the error message
"Problem with Audio Playback".
I've tried killing pulseaudio, but I get the same error message.
People have suggested that I modify the Skype settings,
but I see nowhere to do that.
When I run skype from the command line I get the same error message.
But when I stop I read
-----------------------------------------------
[tim@mary ~]$ skype
ALSA lib pcm.c:2202:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM cards.pcm.hdmi
ALSA lib pcm.c:2202:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM cards.pcm.hdmi
^C
-----------------------------------------------
Any and all suggestions gratefully received.

No sound on youtube
by Tom Diehl
Hi,
I have a 64 bit rawhide/F10 system that I am trying to get youtube audio and
video working on. I followed the instructions at
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Beats/Desktop#Enabling_Flash_Plugin and
http://macromedia.mplug.org/ but so far I can get the video but no audio.
The soundcard is working with rythmbox. I do not get any errors when I access
youtube, just no audio.
about plugins says the following with respect to flash:
File name: nswrapper_32_64.libflashplayer.so
Shockwave Flash 10.0 r12
MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled
application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash swf Yes
application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player spl Yes
When I run mozilla-plugin-config -i -g -v I get the following:

I think the failures wrt the links above is due to the fact that they already
exist. I did verify that they do in fact already exist.
Does anyone have youtube audio working on rawhide/F10?
Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to get this working?
Regards,

F10 i386 preview install on gateway MX7120 fails to start X
by Robert P. J. Day
(hoping this is still the right ML for F10 preview reports.)
i just tried to do an F10 preview install on a gateway MX7120 laptop
with an ATI radeon 200M video chipset and i was told (from memory):
"X startup failed, falling back to text mode."
i have no major issue with a text mode install, but this seems like
a fairly standard setup (1440x900) display, so it's not clear why X
couldn't handle something like this. thoughts?
rday
p.s. it's an i386 install, even though the laptop itself has a
64-bit athlon cpu, but i don't see that that would cause the problem.
i've been wrong before, though.

installation conflict of f10 preview: cherokee and lighttpd-fastcgi
by Robert P. J. Day
i'll head for bugzilla shortly but, what the heck, here's an install
error (reproduced manually):
"There were file conflicts when checking the packages to be installed:
file /usr/bin/spawn-fcgi conflicts between attempted installs of
cherokee-0.8.1-2.fc10.i386 and lighttpd-fastcgi-1.4.20-1.fc10.i386
file /use/share/man/man1/spawn.fcgi.1.gz conflicts between attempted
installs ... etc etc ... you get the idea.

XO: LiveCD from today doesn't work
by Jon Stanley
In order to have my XO look good for a photo that I was going to put
on Amazon, I spun a new LiveCD from today's rawhide. When booted on
the XO, it gets to GDM, I select automatic login and click login.
Then X crashes, and I'm back to GDM.
I'm not really a desktop guy to even know where to begin looking at
this. OTOH, the rawhide machine that I used to spin the LiveCD, I
just updated it and everything works fine, so this is probably
hardware-specific :/

Fedora 10-prelease does not recognize OQO M2 ethernet
by Robert Moskowitz
I have a few OQO Model 2s. All but one has Centos 5.2 installed. I
have had to do a VNC remote install becuase of the small screen size
(and don't want to use text mode as I play with Disk Druid).
So I want to put Fedora 10 on it to get the 2.6.27 kernel (for the IPSEC
BEET patch), and maybe better working with the VIA video.
The VNC remote install was failing on the network connection, so I tried
a 'regular' install with specifying a URL, and get network error:
"There was an error configuring your network interface".
The OQO M2 has (according to /etc/sysconfig/hwconf on the systems with
Centos) a Realtek RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+
I hope when the official FC10 comes out on the 25th, this card is
supported....
