I wanted to send a short update on sponsorship status for Flock 2016.
Right now, we have two sponsors (excluding Red Hat):
The Linux Foundation - Bronze Novell/SUSE - Gold
If you have an idea or lead for sponsorship, let me know. (We've had a lot of previous sponsors decline to sponsor this year, though, this trend usually happens when the event is not in North America and reverses when it is.)

How much is each level of the sponsorship? I might have someone I can engage on this but would want to know some details first.

Thanks Josh,
I made it all the way to that page but didn't think to click there.

I did talk to John from Intel at PyCon and they might - stress might - be
up for sponsoring in the form of some giveaways. Probably not a straight-up cash sponsorship though.

Since we haven't locked in our Keynotes yet, perhaps someone from Intel may be able to fit one of the slots, should they sponsor so generously? --RemyD.

I'd be willing to consider it, assuming that they were so generous with their gifting (and that we had the chance to review the speaker and material before accepting it).

That vetting would be key. Otherwise, "sold" keynote slots tend to turn into nothing more than marketing pitches.
