the evening events, but I haven't heard much from Miro about that. I know

with Paul we discussed yesterday we'd like to help you guys with Flock, we'd
like to open the planning bit more to community to make it more transparent
what's done, what has to be done, where other people can help. Maybe it's time
to follow up FUDCon organizing style - at least to have a sync meeting once
per week to move forward. It's now two months and usually it's the most
rush time for conferences.
I can help with setting up meeting, can manage Trello board (we use this year
for Akademy I'm helping with too and it helps tracking stuff). Paul will give
me a hand too :).
What do you think? We don't want to kidnap Flock and help is always nice
thing to have :). Volunteers for free!

As we had talked about on IRC, this is one aspect that really has to be
under smaller control so that we don't have everyone everywhere asking the
same companies. Ryan missed the initial email asking for the old svg, but I
have it now. I'll send you the new prospectus.

Totally agreed -- having multiple people contact the same potential
sponsors looks bad. I thought I'd tossed my name into the document
you pointed me to earlier for IBM, if not it seems to be there now.

I've also asked our local IBM contact if they'd be interested in
sponsoring. But in this case it might actually be better to do multiple
tries. They were very interested in sponsoring DevConf.cz, but it never
happened. The same with Flock so far. So maybe if we have several tries
one of them will succeed :)

not at all interested in sponsoring. There may be other groups that
are more interested (powerpc, s390).
I think IBM might be the exception to the "no multiple contacts" rule,
as long as we do it tactfully, just because of the sheer size of it
and the fact that the divisions tend to operate independently.

(reportedly due to too little time).

I've included the name of my contact in Ruth's sheet. Tom's right;
IBM's *really* big. It's not uncommon in an org that big the supposed
single contact person may be completely oblivious to some of the
groups who might be interested or involved.
Anyway, the single contact I got from Red Hat's partner manager has
the prospectus now and he's looking at it. If I don't hear back by
early next week, I'll ping him.
