I have just tested Peng Wu’s latest patch in the merge request

i.e. this one:

and it also fixes the problem of the double cursor in 


"අකුරු" input by "wlqrq"
"අයුරු" input by "whqrq"

and I also could not find any obvious problems when playing with Arabic text in
gedit.
