I tested Peng Wu’s merge request:

This fixes the problem of the double cursor in

"අකුරු" input by "wlqrq"
"අයුරු" input by "whqrq"

I could find no obvious problems when playing with Arabic text in gedit, so I
think this will probably not introduce regressions for Arabic.
