sinhala-test-file.txt
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=1914858
is the test file used in the video
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=1914859
In the video, I install the fedora 36 rpms:
https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/google-noto-fonts/20201206/9.
fc36/noarch/google-noto-sans-sinhala-fonts-20201206-9.fc36.noarch.rpm
https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/google-noto-fonts/20201206/9.
fc36/noarch/google-noto-sans-sinhala-vf-fonts-20201206-9.fc36.noarch.rpm
sudo rpm -Uhv google-noto-sans-sinhala-fonts-20201206-9.fc36.noarch.rpm
google-noto-sans-sinhala-vf-fonts-20201206-9.fc36.noarch.rpm --nodeps --force
And this fixes the overlapping in gedit.
I followed your steps and downgraded the fonts. It fixed the overlapping issue,
temporarily.
Then I did a 'dnf update'. After installing those updates I noticed that the
overlapping issue has returned. I assume that is because the fonts were
replaced again by what is included in Fedora 37?
