[Fedora-i18n-list] IIIMF in en_US environment
by Kohei Yoshida
Hi,
I would like to support and test this IIIMF development effort as an
avid user, but I need to know if it's possible to use it in en_US
environment.
For instance, currently I have a bash script that sets all necessary
environment variables for Japanese input, so that
./jpn.sh appname
will launch the app with Japanese input capability while retaining en_US
locale. Is it possible to do something similar with IIim? My system is
FC1.
Thanks,
Kohei

[Fedora-i18n-list] Re: [Zh-l10n] 有興趣測試新的輸入法系統嗎?

Hi Chung-Yen,
Thanks for testing the iiimf-xcin and posted the report.
They are all fixed in CVS now. Will push these fixes when we release the
new version of iiimf-xcin. Please visit http://tciiimf.sourceforge.net/
if you interested on checking out the cvs.
And I have noted about your suggestion on the documentation. Thanks
again.
Cheers,
Leon

To determine if the cursor moves when you hit SPACE and TAB and if ENTER
moves to the next line.
1. Press SPACE.
this create a space and the cursor moves.
2.Perform Test 1, press SPACE.
this create a space after the character and the cursor moves.
3. Perform Test 1, press TAB.
this create some spaces after the character and the cursor moves.
4. Perform Test 1, press ENTER.
the cursor doesn't move.
5. Perform Test 1 again.
the character I typed display correctly on the screen
Questions:
1. Does the cursor move on the screen when you press the SPACE bar when
no text is entered?
YES
2. Does the cursor move when text is entered?
SPACE and TAB moves the cursor OK. But ENTER doesn't move the cursor.
And all arrow keys (right, left, up, down) move the cursor forward.
3. Does the cursor move to the next line when you press ENTER?
NO. When LE is on, ENTER doesn't move the cursor. When LE is off, ENTER
moves the cursor to the next line.
4. Does the screen display the text after you press ENTER?
YES

To determine the robustness of individual LE if out of range LUC is
selected.
1. use gedit
2. activate your LE
3. Perform Test 1 but DO NOT COMMIT
4. If candidates 0-5 are presented, select candidate 6 and COMMIT
5. then 7 and COMMIT
6. 8 then COMMIT
7. 9 COMMIT
8. 0 COMMIT
Questions: What happens when you select a candidate that is not available?
1. Typing あか shows 1-6 candidates.
2. selecting candidate 7 by typing 7 when LUC showing up creates 赤7
3. selecting candidate 8 by typing 8 shows 赤8
4. selecting candidate 9 by typing 9 shows 赤9
5. selecting candidate 0 by typing 0 shows あか
Thanks

To determine if Lookup Candidates (LUC) Window dissappears after BACKSPACE.
1. use gedit
2. activate LE
3. Peform Test 1 but DO NOT commit
4. Hit BACKSPACE to remove all of the characters entered
Question: Does the LUC (look up candidate) window disappear?
NO.
Just typing あか, then hitting backspace did nothing.
After typing あか, hitting space created 赤, and then hitting backspace
did nothing.
Then hitting another sapce shows LUC and hitting backsapce did nothing.
LUC didn't disappear.
