How about firefox 3.6 in Fedora 12 ?

Hi, I noticed firefox was stuck on 3.5.6 for a rather long time. What about 3.5.7 and the recently 3.6? They are even not in koji.

Fedora 13 Milestone Reached: Feature and Spin Submission Deadlines

A friendly reminder that yesterday, January 26, 2010, we reached the Feature and Spin submission deadline. Any new features or spins submitted after yesterday will be targeted for Fedora 14. A summary of the Fedora 13 milestones and exception process is here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Important_Release_Milestones The next significant schedule milestone is Feature Freeze on February 9, 2010. At Feature Freeze it is expected that all features are *significantly* "feature complete" and ready for testing. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Feature_Freeze_Policy. Taking ownership of the orphaned packages: bytelist, jcodings, jvyamlb

Hi All, The NetBeans 6.8 [1] depends on some Java libraries whose packages have been marked as orphaned [2]. To resolve the issue and provide the feature in-time I'd like to take ownership of the following packages: - bytelist - Review Request #560169 [3] - jcodings - Review Request #560170 [4] - jvyamlb - Review Request #560172 [5] The spec files are updated and new SRPMs are prepared according to the current states of the corresponding projects. BTW Updating the packages is a step to reanimate JRuby on the Fedora platform. best practice for packing programs that use strlcpy()?

What is considered the best practice for packaging a program that uses strlcpy()? Is there a Fedora library that provides strlcpy() and friends? Should I add an implmentation of strlcpy() to the package as an additional source or patch? Should I modify the program to not need strlcpy()? (I really don't like this idea.) Thanks, Eric

abrtd not running: applet complains

BEWARE! [Bug 559312] thunderbird corrupts mail indices (Old mail marked as new) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=559312 For the last 24hrs all my mail state (read/unread, all tags) have been completely destroyed. DO NOT upgrade to version 3.0.1!!! Most of us really take pride in making sure what we push out to the community has been tested and will not be disruptive or destructive. Then there a small group of people that simply don't give a damn what they push out or the havoc they cause. This makes the *entire* community look like crap... My goal here is twofold. One alert everyone that your mail will be destroyed if you upgrade to 3.0.1 and to shine light on shoddy work in hopes they will take pride in one, fixing the problem ASAP and two change their process so things like stop happen... IMHO... events like this is the reason why Linux (Fedora explicitly) is having such a hard time being accepted the mainstream.... steved.
