Add BuildRequires: gettext to the spec?
Michael
I'm just wondering why my packages under rawhide suddenly need gettext as a dependency ?
should i set an if condition for rawhide ?
%if 0%{?fedora} >= 40 BuildRequires: gettext %endif

This shouldn't be conditional. If you require gettext, you should `BuildRequires: gettext`.
If it worked before, it was accidental (something else you had a BR on must have pulled it in). That subsequently changed. You can't rely on that behavior even to remain in released Fedoras, so just add the requirement explicitly to your specfile.
