Hello,
I contacted Patrick Barnes about the following Google Summer of Code project on the Fedora site,
System G-Conf (or other configuration) backend
He wanted me to find out if there was any interest among fedora developers in the above topic. If so, then do let me know, and also feel free to volunteer as a mentor for this project :->
Thank you, Akshay Dua

Actually, the need for this has sort of died down - I removed it from that page.

I'm interested, did we find a replacement ?

I am interested in applying for Google Summer of Code as a student. My proposal is about an offline update and installation tool that can be integrated with Pirut.
Here is a draft of my proposal: http://glug-nith.org/~rishi/download/soc/soc-proposal-fedora-offline
