Fedora 26 Alpha Go/No-Go Meeting on Thursday, March 16 @ 17:00 UTC
by Jan Kurik
Join us on irc.freenode.net in #fedora-meeting-2 for this important
meeting, wherein we shall determine the readiness of the Fedora 26
Alpha.
The meeting is going to be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 17:00
UTC. Please check the [1] link for your time zone.
Before each public release Development, QA and Release Engineering
meet to determine if the release criteria are met for a particular
release. This meeting is called the Go/No-Go Meeting. Verifying that
the Release criteria are met is the responsibility of the QA Team.
Release Candidate (RC) availability and good QA coverage are
prerequisites for the Go/No-Go meeting. If you have any bug on the
list, please help us with Alpha release. If we won't be ready by
Thursday, we will use this meeting to review blockers and decide what
to do.
In the meantime, please keep also an eye on the Fedora 26 Alpha
Blocker list [2].
For more details about this meeting please follow the [3] link.

Firefox crashing in updated F25: consider this fix
by Roberto Ragusa
Hi,
on my updated F25, Firefox has been crashing (sometimes on startup, during restore session),
and one time it was able to crash Xorg too.
I found that this patch solves the problem:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=8839990&action=diff
I do not see it included in koji builds, please consider adding it.
My rebuilt rpm is working fine.
Regards.

Orphaning zanata-parent, zanata-api, zanata-common, zanata-client
by Ding Yi Chen
As we merge our repositories into zanata-platform [1].
so the new versions of Zanata client will be supplied by zanata-platform.
The following repositories are depreciated:
zanata-parent
zanata-api
zanata-common
zanata-client
Thus corresponding Fedora main packages are orphaned.

Should fedora-review deprecate SHA-1?
by Christopher Meng
Hi list,
Per some old news[1], I believe SHA-1 is not secure anymore. But after
checking fedora-review(1), I still see possibility of using SHA-1.
Is it the time to drop SHA-1?
Thanks.

Slightly Odd Package Status: dissy
by Michael Cullen
Hi,
I retired dissy on master the other day (since it depends on an old
unmaintained webkit version that will disappear in f27) and while pkgdb
shows the correct status of in all releases except devel, it seems to
have ended up in 24, 25 and 27 but not 26 according to
https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/dissy - and the compose email
backed that up the other day.
Any ideas what happened there? I was perhaps a bit too keen to retire on
27 :-P
Thanks,
Michael
