* ACTION: langdon to investigate better status reporting mechanism
perhaps leveraging taiga (langdon, 15:33:22)
* Upgrade Path Issue Recap (sgallagh, 15:37:56)
* Upgrade Issue 1: Installing software that comes from a module's
default stream enables that module. At upgrade, the stream remains
the same, even if the new OS release has changed the default. This
behavior means that users do not get the experience they had with
non-modular upgrades which is to follow the OS's opinionated
defaults. (sgallagh, 15:42:16)
* Upgrade Issue 2: When attempting to upgrade to a release where an
enabled module stream has been retired and removed, the upgrade
process fails with conflicts. This differs from the non-modular
behavior of simply keeping the old content until and unless it
starts to cause conflicts or else is Obsoleted. (sgallagh,
15:43:47)
* tracking the bugs for these is not as simple as it may sound.. as a
result, look to upcoming status report that was discussed earlier
(langdon, 15:47:04)
* open floor (langdon, 15:48:07)
Meeting ended at 15:52:44 UTC.

bug 1767576 in fedora-review / mock and relative workarounds
by Germano Massullo
Hello, in comment
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1767576#c7
I wrote my experience about fedora-review / mock bug that returns message
%{python3_pkgversion} expanded too early.
As workaround I renamed
python3-dateutil-2.8.0-2.fc30.src.rpm
to
pythonX-dateutil-2.8.0-2.fc30.src.rpm
but fedora-review fails and mock instead works. How can this happen?
fedora-review -rn pythonX-dateutil-2.8.0-2.el7.src.rpm -m epel-7-x86_64

Eclipse and Fedora 31
by Aleksandar Kurtakov
Dear Eclipse users,
Whoever faces issues installing Eclipse RPMs on Fedora 31 - this is beyond
us (Eclipse packagers) and depends on a number of bigger issues in Fedora
land both technical and political.
Until this is fixed, you're strongly recommended to try using Eclipse from
Flathub [1]. It should provide you with similar system level integration as
the RPMs and is maintained by the very same people who do the Fedora RPMs.
In case of issues don't hesitate to contact me or Mat Booth but ideally
open issues at [2] .

Question about libtirpc CNAME Change.
by Steve Dickson
Hello,
In a recent upstream commit, the outdated, unsupported
AUTH_DES authentication is now compiled out by default.
This does effect the API, but does it really need a CNAME change
since it interface can be recompiled back in?
The reason I ask, change libtirpc's CNAME will require
a large number of packages (at least 40) to be
rebuild (aka rawhide chaos at its finest!)
tia,
steved.

Orphaning two security packages
by Raphael Groner
Hi,
due to lack of time I've to orphan zulucrypt and sirikali packages.
Both packages are very useful for several encryption methods.
Unfortunately, I can not maintain all of them.
Please feel free to pick those packages if you still think they should
remain in Fedora.
Both packages are already outdated in versions.
Regards,
Raphael

Intent to retire OCE (OpenCascade Community Edition)
by Richard Shaw
It has a lot of libraries so I haven't tried figuring out what all packages
are affected but since OCC (OpenCASCADE) went GPL OCE has not been updated
and appears to be no longer maintained.
I have moved FreeCAD over to my new "opencascade" package and am working on
moving netgen-mesher over. Once complete, unless there's a good reason to
keep it, I plan to retire it in Rawhide.
Thanks,
Richard
