What exactly is not working for you when you run a GNOME Wayland session inside a VirtualBox guest ?
Hi Hans,
Sadly in my case I suffer the full range of problems, blocky massive empty cursor, Old TV style loss of horizontal sync (video buffer overlap problem apparently).... basically I have all the issues outlined below with screen shots shown, topics posted relate to Ubuntu but I have the issue on Fedora (in my case, host is Fedora-Xfce-40 and guest is Fedora-GNOME-40):

The above links have many other links, but see comment 22 on the ticket.
On my recent failed attempt for a GNOME VM under VirtualBox, I converted the VM to QEMU/KVM via a raw image (not a difficult procedure). Under QEMU/KVM the exact same VM install works flawlessly. So it wasn't that my installation went wrong.
Doesn't this prove that it's really a VirtualBox problem, not a Fedora problem?
I mean, we still want Fedora to run "everywhere", but the previous discussion indicated a "Fedora problem", and your observations put things into perspective.
